"A picture is worth a thousand words..."

As a photographer I enjoy using a visual medium to tell a story or ask the viewer to 'read' a picture. It doesn't matter if they see something different but an image should evoke a response or an emotion.

When I photograph a wedding, a Portrait or a simple composition I capture a small piece of history. A piece of your story, your history.

I love to photograph all ages in relaxed and informal surroundings using natural light. Relaxed, comfortable people in their own familiar environment make for gorgeous, exciting and unforgettable images.

All my portrait work is non-studio based, with the majority of shoots taking place at my client’s home or another location of their choice. On arrival I spend time getting to know my models and hopefully helping them to relax, as the more relaxed the person, the more natural the shot.

I encourage my clients to choose their own location that is personal to them as this way their personalities, likes and dislikes show through and the lasting image of their chosen location will always evoke a memory, a certain emotion and capture this moment in time.

I work with both colour and black and white images, this does depend on the subject and the situation. Of course our clients can also specify their own requirements as after all the photographs will be tailored for each individual we work with.

For assignments such as weddings, I would use a mixture of both to capture the atmosphere of your very special day.
